Training on Measurement Book and Survey Tools for CMU–Ganol Engineers

A three-day training on Measurement Book (MB) and survey tools was conducted for CMU–Ganol engineers from 3rd–5th March 2026 at the Conference Hall, MBDA, Tura, led by Shri R.K. Singh, Project Associate, SPMU.
The sessions covered the importance and handling of the Measurement Book, procedures for recording measurements, and the roles and responsibilities of engineers.
A field visit to Asimgre VPIC was organized where participants practiced survey techniques using plane table, auto level, and other equipment through the Radial Traversing method.
The training concluded with data calculation, plotting survey points in AutoCAD, contour line drawing, and preparation of a toposheet based on the surveyed area.
